Well hello there….. Our first post, a very important start on a wonderfully witchy journey. Trying my upmost to contain all the thoughts and wonders in my head so as not to overwhelm you with the BIG story of how we came to be here. That is a whole other story for another time.
I shall say it did involve one of the floofy overlords (cats Topaz and opal – intros pending) trying to end me at 3am in the morning in what we shall aptly name the flat of doom my previous home, Said flat being deemed no long fit for my occupation, a week of ankle surgery, followed by, a five month fight and finally a beautiful new home.
Now I do not recommend throwing said self on floor and hurting bones to get a new home but I have to say it is a very big silver lining for me. I moved in solstice of 2019 and seven long years later loving my home. This really being a place I can call as such.
Alas medical issues have continued and I am now technically stuck the majority of the time in this home , so I started to find projects in it to keep me busy and for the most part sane..ish. So far we have sorted an outdoor catio space for said overlords, and for this year I thought it would be great to concentrate on the garden and getting Witch Haven working hard and producing the herbs and plants I need for all my witchy lotions, potions and ritual work.

So the purpose for me creating this blog is to share the ins and outs of witchy wanderings in my garden from the ideas I first had in my head, to the creation of it, along with my daily rambles as I navigate life. Hopefully as I learn through no doubt lots and lots of error I can happily share how not to do things so you can start with the correct way. Hopefully some time in the near future I can share the growing of the actual plants and the process from seed to harvest.
I can tell you now it takes a lot longer to sort things than expected, please include some disappointments like greenhouses blowing over or plants just up and perishing from heat. Half a year has already gone by and I have learnt the hard way gardening is a full out battle. Water being one of the biggest issues either not enough or too much a very fine balance to be found. Soon hopefully sorted with some nifty water irrigation systems.
I will give fair warning there will be some adult content including profanity because the occasional F bomb is a requirement in my daily life.
We shall have creature features from my own cats, to the various bugs, birds , bats and angry squirrels that make their appearances known. Even living in a city we have such a wonderful collection of animals around us. Some with some very quirky characters. Hopefully we can soon add to this as one of the new garden features is going to be a wildlife pond , and the hope is I can attract some frogs in, having previously seen a frog and a toad.
I will also be popping up a few camera to get more wonderful images of the visitors, one of my good friends uses a app that identifies bird song and there was quite a few it heard that I had never actually seen so I am excited to create a habitat they can hopefully thrive in.

With that all said I excitedly welcome you to my hearth and home I hope we can share and learn much from each other.
